Why I built bookonline.ink
This is the part of the site where a company tells you how passionate they are about the tattoo industry. How they're curing cancer. Solving world hunger.
(We all know they're in it for the money.)
The blunt reality
- Would I like to earn the freedom to spend more time with my daughter?
- Yes.
- Would I like booking tattoos to be beautiful instead of boring?
- Absolutely.
- Would I like to get everyone in this industry rich as f*** in the process?
- Also yes.
My main motivation:
I WANT FREE TATTOOS.
Barter with me. This is a totally selfish project and a dubious scheme to get better deals on your beautiful art.
Make me an offer. Tattoos for software. A sleeve for a year of it, a flash piece for a feature, whatever feels fair to you.
How we get rich as f***
- Fewer no-shows. Deposits in the bank.
A client picks a time, the deposit lands, and the no-shows fall off a cliff. No more Instagram DM ping-pong. Your day looks like doing more of the art that gets you excited.
- Affiliate marketing, done for you.
Your aftercare pick in front of every client the moment they're booked and buzzing. Take deposits through us and the affiliate money is yours.
- Referrals that pay you. Forever.
Bring an artist or a shop here and you earn a piece of our fee on every deposit they take. The fee exists so you can get paid for making tattoo-booking more beautiful.
- Your brand, to the moon.
Have merch? It sits beside the aftercare pick, on every booking, at the one moment a client wants a piece of you to take home.
Start making money
How Tattware makes money
We know there are plenty of ways around paying us. That's on purpose. The money we make from artists should come out of a business partnership you chose, where we support each other, not something you feel trapped into.
Your call: Pick one if you're down for the cause.
- Deposits through bookonline.ink. A small booking fee on the deposits we secure for you. You decide who pays it: the client, out of your cut, or a split half and half.
- Affiliate marketing on your link. We recommend aftercare lotions and products like that, and the lotion company pays us a small cut of the sale.
Make money while you sleep
Every time a shop you brought here takes a deposit through us, you get paid.
| Deposit | Total fee | Software | Your cut |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to $100 | $5 (the floor) | $3 | $2 |
| $500 | $25 | $17 | $8 |
| $780 and up | $39 (the cap) | $26 | $13 |
The fine print, if you're into that sort of thing
When a client pays a deposit through bookonline.ink, the fee is 5% of it, never under $5 and never over $39.
Your cut: a third of our fee, in whole dollars, on every deposit an artist or shop you referred takes, for as long as they take them.
Our fee stops at $149 a month per artist; past that, the rest of the month is card processing only.
Your first 90 days on bookonline.ink Payments: no fee on deposits for anyone, you or your clients. From then on, the schedule above.
A walk-in day's VIP list: your client pays the piece plus one "Skip the line" line, our 5% of the piece's price (never under $5, never over $39) plus the card processing on what they pay. You get the whole price of the piece; the line is outside your free days and your monthly ceiling, since you pay none of it.
The 5% changes only in public, on this page. Once a year the $5 and $39 follow inflation, rounded to a dollar amount ending in 3 or 9.
How it has changed
- Since October 9, 2026: 5%, $5 floor, $39 cap, $149 a month per artist at most.
